The point of knowledge

Sufyaan Ath-Thawree, Rahimahullaah, said: “The excellence of knowledge is due only to the fact that it causes a person to fear and obey Allaah, otherwise it is just like anything else.” [Related by ibn Rajab]

From Jaabir (radiyAllâhu ‘anhu) who said that Allâh’s Messenger (salAllâhu ‘aliahi wa’sallam) said:

“Do not acquire knowledge in order to compete with the scholars, nor to argue with the ignorant, nor to gain mastery over the gatherings. Since whoever does that, then: The Fire! The Fire!”

One second of Jannah is enough to make one forget

Anas radhiallahu anhu narrates that Rasoolullaah said, “On the Day of Judgement, that dweller of Jahannam (hellfire) who had

lived the most luxurious life in this world will be
brought and he will be put in Jahannam for a second and
taken out. He will then be asked, ’0 son of Adam, did
you ever experience any good? Did you ever experience
any comfort?’ He will say, ‘No, I swear by Allah, my
Lord.’ Then, that dweller of Jannah who lived the most
difficult life in this world will be brought and he will put
in Jannat for a second and out. He will be asked, ’0 son
of Adam, did you ever experience any difficulty? Did
you ever experience any hardship?’ He will say, ‘No, I
swear by Allah ~, my Lord. I never experienced any
hardship and I never experienced any difficulty. ‘”

[Sahih Muslim]

O you good soul, come out and receive your Lord’s forgiveness and pleasure

The Angel of Death comes to the [dying] believer, sits at his head and says, ‘O you good soul, come out and receive your Lord’s forgiveness and pleasure.’ Then the soul flows out effortlessly just as water flows from the mouth of a waterskin.
Abu Hurairah (radhiAllaahu ‘anhu) narrated that the messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said: When the soul of a believer comes out [of its body], two angels receive it and rise with it towards the heavens, whereupon the inhabitants of the heavens say, “A good soul has come from the earth. Allaah has blessed you and the body which you used to occupy.” [Muslim]
